The Catholic Education Department of Wallis and Futuna invites CM1 and CM2 classes to participate in an online quiz on the role of food to celebrate Healthy Eating Week!
The quiz will then be posted online and open to all from November 8th to November 9th, 2022. Participation will be limited to one class per student; all students will participate to answer the quiz.
An educational video presenting the types of foods (builders, protectors, and energizers) and the roles they each play in the functioning of our bodies will be shared and viewed by the students/classes participating in the project before the quiz.
At the end of the quiz, the results will be automatically displayed on the kahoot platform. A ranking will be established based on the number of correct answers and the time taken to complete the quiz.
Prizes will then be awarded to the top three classes with the most points. Required Equipment:
- A computer connected to a video projector
- An internet connection
- Open the platform “kahoot.it“
- A PIN code (sent the day before the competition)
The video used as a support tool is part of a series of educational tools that make up the “Healthy Children for the Future of Our Islands” project, which addresses various nutrition-related topics. The video features Vili and Malia (the main characters of the program) as they face various nutrition-related issues in their daily lives.
The video is accessible via the website Educ@Pasifika, which also includes all the other resources from the program and can easily be used in the classroom to address the topic of nutrition.
